Abstract

The current draft of the American National Standard for Industrial Robots Performance Evaluation requires that robots be tested under different loads and velocities for linear paths as well as for pose repeatability/accuracy. The sensing device must be noncontact with an accuracy at least 1 order of magnitude better than the parameter to be measured.1
