Abstract

A highly nonlinear CS2 filled liquid core photonic crystal fiber (LCPCF) is proposed to study the contribution of liquid molecules on broadband supercontinuum generation (SCG) in the femtosecond regime. It is observed through numerical simulation using appropriately modified nonlinear Schrödinger equation that the novel design of LCPCF make suitable for highly scattering tissue optical coherence tomography applications.
