Abstract

This paper presents the modeling and characterization of proposed sensor of two concatenated Long Period Gratings (LPG) with inter grating spacing of single mode fiber for sensing of refractive index. It is shown that the transmission characteristics of the proposed sensor can be controlled by optimize the physical parameters like length of inter grating spacing, period of LPGs and cladding radius of inter grating spacing.
