Abstract

Stark ladders have recently been observed in the optical properties of semiconductor super-lattices.[1] The strong field dependence of the optical transitions gives rise to interesting optoelectronic device applications,[2] and they offer the exciting possibility for the observation of Bloch oscillations.[3]
