Abstract

Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) is a recent development in atomic emission spectroscopy, in which a high powered pulsed laser is used as the excitation source. We have looked at the problem of determining the design parameters for a LIBS elemental analysis system for iron ore. The features of UBS which make it particularly suited to this rote are
