Delay time statistics of cooperative emission in the presence of homogeneous line broadening

Abstract

We have performed a calculation to determine the influence of homogeneous line broadening mechanisms on the delay time statistics of cooperative emission processes. Previous theoretical treatments have dealt only with the case of inhomogeneous broadening.1 However, the influence of homogeneous dephasing on superfluorescence (SF) was studied in a recent experiment.2
