Approximate Analysis of Si Slot Waveguide Dispersion Characteristics

Abstract

Approximate semi-vector optimal variational method is used to optimize Si slot waveguide parameters for flat dispersion in broad spectral range. Dispersion of -1083 ps/km/nm is obtained over bandwidth of 320 nm with variance of < 0.5%.
