Modal Analysis of Ultra-Fast Laser Written Waveguide of Arbitrary Index Profile using Finite Difference Method

Abstract

Semi-vectorial Finite Difference Method with equidistant discretization scheme has been used to analyze modal profile of direct femtosecond laser written buried channel waveguides with rectangular, circular and elliptical apertures and arbitrary refractive index profiles.
