Determination of Refractive Index of Continuous Wave UV-written Waveguides in Lithium Niobate: Comparison of Experimental and Theoretical Profiles

Abstract

The refractive index distribution of the single mode LiNbO3 waveguide at 632.8 nm transmitting wavelength written at 305nm UV laser has been computed theoretically and compared with the extracted index profile from near-field intensity profile.
