Metal nanoclusters in optical fiber for new functional applications

Abstract

We report, detail fabrication technique of silicon and silver nano-clusters (NCs) doped modified silica glass based optical fibers. Nano-clusters doped fibers show high nonlinearity around (0.5–0.7) × 10−17 m2/W.
