Long-distance large-capacity FBG sensor network with high-insertion-loss using high power broadband random fiber laser and high-order random lasing amplification

Abstract

A long-distance (>80km) large-capacity (>500) FBG sensor network with high-insertion-loss (~30dB) induced by individually splicing FBG sensors is demonstrated using novel high-power broadband random fiber laser and random lasing amplification, for the first time.
