Experimental demonstration of 680Gbit/s capacity for the medium-haul undersea lightwave cable systems

Abstract

A medium-haul transmission experiment with 680Gbit/s capacity was demonstrated. Combination of low nonlinear fiber and small dispersion slope fiber is effective to improve the transmission performance, and all channels showed better than 15.5dB Q-factor.
