Abstract

We investigated the dependence of the second-order nonlinear susceptibility χ(2) (2ω, ω, ω) of Langmuir-Blodgett monolayers as a function of surface density. A nonlinear dependence of χ(2) on surface density Ns was observed, which could be attributed to the microscopic local-field.
