Abstract

We present the state-of-the-art of stimulated Brillouin scattering in integrated optical circuits, with a particular focus on recent observations in silicon waveguides. In addition, we report on a spatiotemporal symmetry between Brillouin-active waveguides and optomechanical cavities.
