Compact Brillouin/Erbium Fiber Laser Using Commercialized Erbium-doped Fibers

Abstract

We demonstrate a compact Brillouin/erbium fiber laser using commercialized erbium-doped fiber for both the nonlinear and linear gain. It presents single frequency, low phase noise (−124 dB/Hz1/2), and stable fast tuning.
