Abstract

Optical impulse response is of importance to investigate the physical properties of materials. Usually pulsed laser is used as a light source for such purposes. However optical damage of a sample is a serious problem with the pulsed lasers in some cases. In this paper we demonstrate a novel technique; correlation domain spectroscopy (CDS) in which the impulse response is measured with a frequency-swept CW laser in correlation domain.
