Abstract

In this report the results obtained by site selective laser spectroscopy technique [1] on spectral and kinetic investigation of SrF2 crystals doped with Nd3+ ions are presented. The concentration of Nd3+ ions in SrF2 crystal is varied (0.2, 0.3, 0.8, and 3weight % of NdF3). Time resolved fluorescence spectra (4F3/2-> 4I9/2; 4I11/2) and monochromatic excitation spectra (4I9/2--> 4G5/2;2G7/2,) were registered at 77 and 300 K temperatures.
