Impulse Response Measurement of Ultrafast Photodiode using Synchronous Electro-optic Sampling Technique

Abstract

A frequency comb based electro-optic sampling system with constant bandwidth was developed to characterize the response of an ultrafast photodiode. The system measured comparable photodiode bandwidth with reduced acquisition time but with poorer signal-to-noise ratio.
