Abstract

The aim of the report is to describe the wavefront dislocations appearance and development in nonlinear media. Photorefractive LiNbO3:Fe crystals were used. Defocusing nonlinear lens emerges in the crystal due to the laser beam action as a result of the optical damage effect.1 This lens distorts the transmitted beam giving rise of wavefront dislocations.
