Abstract

In recent years biochromatic laser cooling of Λ-atoms in the field of two standing waves has been actively investigated.1 It proves to be that at this scheme of interaction in dependence of spatial shift φ between standing waves and of values of frequency detunings Ω1,2 there are mechanisms of sub-Doppler cooling provided by different physical causes.3
