CO2 Laser Radar Systems Technology Development for Remote Atmospheric Measurement

Abstract

This paper describes the historical development of CO2 laser radar systems and technology as it relates to remote atmospheric sensing. Laboratory, ground-based, and flight test system results encompassing the past 15 years of applied research and development will be presented along with an assessment of current technology status.
