Abstract
Infrared differential absorption LIDAR (DIAL) systems using line-tunable CO2 lasers have been demonstrated1,2. The lack of continuous tunability in these systems limits their performance. In this paper we report the demonstration of a continuously-tunable, pulsed, high PRF, rf-excited CO2 waveguide laser which should be useful for infrared laser remote sensing of atmospheric species.
