We demonstrate a non-return to zero optical modulation at 50Gb/s with a CVD grown Graphene-Insulator-Graphene electro-absorption modulator integrated on a Si photonic waveguide. The device exhibits a 3dB electro-optical bandwidth of 30GHz.
