Abstract
In recent years, several optical biosensors in integrated photonics have been developed to monitor analytes in air and liquids to ensure the high quality of the environment and products (e.g., milk). The detection limit (DL) is one of the most important merits of these devices and low DL allow the detection of compounds harmful to human health, such as viral pathogens in water [1], in ultra-low concentrations.
