Abstract

Research into self-terminating metal vapor lasers has a tendency towards high laser pulse repetition rates (PRR’s). On the one hand, the production of PRR's between 0.1-1.0 MHz shows promise of further increase in the average power from this kind of lasers and, on the other hand, opens up fundamentally new possibilities for their applications.
