Abstract
One of the most important advantages of pulsed metal vapour and metal halide vapour lasers is the possibility to operate at high pulse repetition rate (PRR) which is usually in the range of 5-30 kHz. The high PRR leads to high average power exceeding for large-bore lasers several hundreds W. This is the reason of considerable interest in investigation of the processes limiting attainable PRR and average power. However, these processes are still a subject of many discussions.
