Abstract

Polarization information delivering characteristics of a microaxicon on single mode optical fiber are investigated for unambiguous understanding of vectorial optical field in scanning near field optical microscopy. The polarization dependent optical imaging of subwavelength-sized feature is also examined by using microaxicon on optical fiber as polarization filtering near field probe.
