Impulsive Stimulated Rotational Raman Scattering from Hydrogen

Abstract

We demonstrate stimulated rotational Raman scattering of gas hydrogen in the femtosecond regime selectively. This multiple Raman radiation from hydrogen has potential to produce single ultrashort pulses instead of a pulse train.
