Abstract
Laser diodes with output powers of several watts represent key elements of modem all-solid laser technology.1 The operation parameters, i.e., the emission wavelength and the output power-current relationship change markedly with the temperature of the active zone, which depends on the specific kind of diode structure and on the heat-sink configuration.2−3
