Abstract

In recent years, several new applications of KTP (KTiOPO₄) crystals have become important in addition to frequency doubling of Nd:YAG and Nd:YLF lasers. For example, the KTP-based waveguide elements, including quasiphase-matched (QPM) doubler of laser diode radiation, 1-D and 2-D volume phase gratings, and the exitation surface acoustic waves (SAW) have been examined extensively.^1-4
