Abstract

The rapid development of excimer laser technology and the possibility of amplification of femtosecond pulses in excimer amplifiers up to terawatt1 levels have created great interest in generating femtosecond seed pulses at different UV excimer lines. These pulses are usually obtained by frequency doubling of femtosecond dye laser pulses.
