Abstract

The laser scanner is used to record video signals on film at five times broadcast TV rates. It is an integrated optical-electronic system which uses commercial optical components operated at higher-than-normal speeds. It is designed to replace a CRT recording system, thereby giving increased bandwidth and dynamic range.
