About This Cover

20 February 2015, Volume 2, Issue 2, pp. 70-193

Optical microscope image of the junction (close to the left edge) between a ~125 μm inner diameter capillary (right) and a 70 μm core diameter fiber (left). The capillary is filled with Rhodamine 640, and 532 nm wavelength pump light is launched into the capillary from the left. A red filter is used so that the pump is removed and only the dye luminescence is seen.

See Gerosa et al., pp. 186-193.
