Abstract
The influence of interatomic interactions on the coherently emitted transient in resonance fluorescence from a condensed-matter sample of identical two-level atoms is studied for the ultratransient regime. A closed solution of the modified Bloch equations is given. Temporal and spectral properties of the coherently emitted light as well as chirping are discussed.
