Abstract
Two- and four-wave interactions by means of a photorefractive grating recorded by a moving interference pattern are investigated theoretically. The primary stationary grating is recorded by two waves of different frequency in an externally applied ac field. Secondary shifted and nonshifted gratings are recorded by frequency-degenerate interference; their influence is analyzed qualitatively. The depletion of all the waves is taken into account.
