Abstract

Digital micromirror device projection display is a leading technology in the market, but it is being challenged on 4 k×2 k and 8 k×4 k display in the aspect of a higher maximum transfer data rate (124 G by the global reset method) or more block visual artifacts (by the phase reset method). A new method named interleaved reset scheme is proposed to meet this kind of demand. The interleaved reset scheme divides the video frame into several individual groups and reorders all the line sequences in a proper way, the needed maximum transferring data rate is reduced significantly, and the block visual artifact is also reduced.
