Creating a Prism Account

If you are interested in reviewing for Optica Publishing Group journals, please create an account in Prism, our article tracking system. If you have published in our journals or are an Optica member, you will already have an account. Ensure that your contact information and expertise keywords are up-to-date so that your record can be easily found.

  • To create a new account in Prism, go to prism.optica.org. You will enter your email address, name, organization, and physical address and choose a password.
  • Once your account is created, click the “Update Account” link in the upper right section of the Prism homepage to access your Optica account profile.
  • On the Optica account profile page, click on the links along the top profile menu to update your contact information and your academic profile.
  • For editors to be able to find you when searching the Prism reviewer database, you must update your reviewer profile with keywords that describe your areas of expertise.
    • Click on the Participation heading to link to your ORCID iD, if applicable, and enter your areas of expertise under the “Reviewer” section.
    • Your areas of interest should be entered as keywords separated by commas. Be sure to include both broad areas as well as areas of specialization (i.e., optical materials, nanophotonics, nanocomposites, quantum computing, photorefraction, polymers, statistical analysis).

Once you have an account, you will be able to view any active review requests and the history of your completed reviews from the Reviewer module of Prism.
