Oscillations in Laser Spectroscopic Measurements Due to Fiber Transients

Abstract

Many experiments using laser spectroscopy require a shutter at some point in the laser path to temporarily block or divert the beam. If the shutter is followed by filters, photometric measurements may be influenced by the surprising thermal response of these filters.
