Abstract

Theoretical treatment of the projection moire fringe pattern (PMFP) based on the optical transfer function is presented. Contrast is used as a criterion for the quality of the PMFP. In the case of a diffraction-limited system and variable focusing error, theoretical results are compared to measured values.
