Production of Entangled Images With a 4-Wave Mixer

Abstract

We show that non-degenerate 4-wave mixing in an atomic vapor can produce highly multimode twin beams. When seeded, the process generates arbitrarily-shaped bright twin beams whose intensities are quantum-correlated in time and in space. When operating with a vacuum input, it generates multimode continuous-variable entangled twin beams.
