‘Quantum Nonlocality without Entanglement’ in a Pair of Qubits

Abstract

We consider unambiguous discrimination between separable bipartite states, one being pure and the other being a rank-2 mixed state. We show that the optimal success probability achieved by separable measurements is never achieved under LOCC.
