Reconstruction of a Rotational Wave Packet Created in the X2Π1/2 State of the NO Radical by a Nonresonant Intense Ultrashort Laser Pulse

Abstract

We experimentally reconstructed a rotational wave packet created in NO(X2Π1/2) by a nonresonant intense ultrashort laser field. The determined phase shifts show a clear signature of bifurcated pathways in the nonadiabatic rotational excitation.
