Abstract

We report the generation of blue-green optical pulses as short as 10 fs duration using an excimer pumped dye amplifier. This represents an important extension of pulse compression techniques which have been previously demonstrated in the visible at 620 nm[1], and in the near infrared at 800 nm[2].
