Abstract

A highly sensitive plasmonic biosensor based on monitoring two diffraction orders reflected from a sinusoidal Au grating is proposed. The biosensor which operates as an optical switch is demonstrated by detecting anti-BSA (bovine serum albumin) using a BSA-functionalised surface.
