Truing and Dressing of Metal Bond Diamond Wheels for Ductile Regime Grinding

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

The traditional theory of brittle-fracture grinding is based on self-sharpening of grains of wheels. Ductile regime grinding requires precision truing and dressing of wheels so that the diamond grains protrude above the bond material surface.
