Abstract

A full-octave bandwidth is amplified in an optical parametric amplifier. The system is CEP stable and operates at up to 1 MHz repetition rate and 20 µJ pulse energy resulting in 20 W of average power. Compression to 5 fs is demonstrated and should enable isolated attosecond pulse generation.
