Multi-octave supercontinuum from bulk filamentation of a mid-IR pulse

Abstract

We have generated a supercontinuum spanning more than three octaves extending from 450 nm to 4500 nm. The supercontinuum emerges from filamentation of a femtosecond pulse in a thin YAG plate.
