Abstract

Recent advances in fluorescence near-field and far-field fluorescence microscopy have allowed spectroscopic studies of single molecules at room temperature. Experiments probing the dynamics of single molecules on both the 10−2 to 103 sec time scale and the picosecond to nanosecond time scale have been demonstrated.1
