High resolution nonlinear Raman spectroscopy: fundamental aspects of line shapes for combustion environments

Abstract

Accurate spectral line shape models of vibrational-rotational Raman spectra are necessary to interpret diagnostic measurements in combustion studies using techniques such as coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy (GARS). The Q-branch of H2 is an important and interesting case that has received little study in the pressure, mole fraction, and temperature regimes important to combustion researchers.
