Observation of mode locking in a synchronously pumped Nd:YAG laser

Abstract

The increasing use of laser sources for pumping solid state lasers such as Nd-doped crystals, glasses, and vibronic media prompts the question of whether synchronous pumping is not a viable means for mode-locked operation of these laser systems.
